Men, This Way

Have you ever gone on a journey into the world that fundamentally changed you?
Have you figured it out by now what means to truly live a good life?
Might you still be functioning as an adult from childhood wounds unexamined ?

In this episode I had the pleasure of connecting with Brad Wetzler whose captivating story takes us on a profound journey that fundamentally changed his life. Brad’s transformative experience was born out of hitting rock bottom, leaving him with no other option but to embark on a path of self-discovery. As someone who has personally lived through similar stories multiple times, I have found that such experiences can truly make a difference in one’s life.
Brad’s career began as an editor at Outside Magazine, where he had the privilege of working with some of America’s finest non-fiction writers, including the legendary Jon Krakauer. His collaboration with Krakauer on the iconic article that later became the best-selling book “Into Thin Air” showcased Brad’s talent and passion for storytelling. Eventually, he transitioned from being an editor to becoming a writer, traveling the world and delving into topics such as adventure, exploration, business, politics, environment, sports, and wellness.
Recently, Brad released a powerful memoir titled “Into the Soul of the World,” which chronicles his decade-long journey around the globe to overcome drug addiction and heal from past traumas. This memoir holds great value for men who are on their own healing journey, offering insights and inspiration along the way.
During our conversation, Brad and I delve into various topics, including the toxic relationship between fathers and sons and the challenges of living in a society that perpetuates addiction. Together, we explore profound questions about what it means to truly live a good life and whether we may still be functioning as adults from unexamined childhood wounds.
If you’re seeking wisdom and a meaningful difference in your own life, I encourage you to join us in this episode as we uncover valuable insights from Brad Wetzel’s extraordinary journey.
